29 Days Until Departure

Hola Family and Friends!

As most of you know, Ryan and I are taking off for 6 weeks to backpack parts of South America this fall. What started out as a facebook status comment, to nights planning at the campus pub, to weekly skype dates - we are actually pulling this off! We depart Sept 8th for Peru! Many friends who have travelled have used blogs instead of emails home- which Grant pointed out might be much easier ( hopefully) to keep contact with everyone wondering/worried where in the world we are. So, as a first time blogger, I shall give it a shot, fingers crossed it works as planned and I can update you all on our adventures ( and to let you know that we are safe).  I know its 29 days too early to tell you anything exciting, but I thought I would get this all set up and ready to rock as September fast approaches!
